Rockets Overtake Invincibles in Women’s Hundred Standings After Victory
LONDON: Trent Rockets secured a convincing six-wicket win against Oval Invincibles in the Women’s Hundred match held at The Oval on Thursday, thanks to a strong bowling performance and a solid innings by Grace Scrivens.
After being asked to bat first, the Invincibles managed to score only 109/7 in their 100 balls, despite a steady innings from Meg Lanning at the top of the order.
Lanning led the scoring for the home team, making 45 off 35 balls with six fours and a six before being dismissed on the 73rd ball. Alice Capsey (15) and Paige Scholfield (16) were the only other batters to reach double figures, as the rest of the lineup struggled against the Rockets’ disciplined bowling attack.

The Rockets chased down the target of 110 with ease, losing four wickets and with 16 balls remaining.
Openers Bryony Smith and Scrivens provided a quick start, forming a 51-run partnership.
Kalea Moore broke the partnership on the 35th ball, dismissing Smith for 24 off 21 balls, which included four boundaries.
Scrivens then had brief partnerships with Nat Sciver-Brunt (two) and Gardner (11) before being caught out by Capsey on the 63rd delivery, with the score at 75.
The left-handed Scrivens was the highest scorer with 34 off 27 balls, including five fours, and was named Player of the Match.
