Sikandar Raza Confirms Availability for Remainder of PSL 10
Lahore Qalandars’ all-rounder Sikandar Raza has addressed media speculation suggesting his potential absence from the remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 matches.
Raza has affirmed that he will be available for the duration of the tournament.
The Zimbabwean cricketer posted a photo on his Instagram account in the Qalandars kit, accompanied by the caption: “Aa raha hoon In Sha Allah” [I’m coming, God willing].
Initial reports had indicated that Raza might be unavailable for the rest of the competition because of his commitment to Zimbabwe’s home Test series commencing on May 22.
However, his recent social media post has clarified the situation, confirming his return to PSL 10 action.
Throughout the current tournament, the 39-year-old has participated in nine games, amassing 228 runs at an average of 45.60 and a strike rate of 162.85, including two half-centuries.
As a bowler, he has secured eight wickets at an average of 15.25 and an economy rate of 7.10.
PSL 10 is scheduled to recommence following a short break. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already released the updated schedule for the remaining matches.
The league is set to resume on May 17 with a match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The venue will also stage a double-header on May 19, featuring Quetta Gladiators against Multan Sultans in the afternoon, followed by Peshawar Zalmi against Lahore Qalandars in the evening.
The final game at Rawalpindi will be held on May 19, with Islamabad United, the defending champions, facing Karachi Kings.
Subsequently, the action will move to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, which will host the playoffs. The Qualifier is scheduled for May 21, followed by Eliminator 1 on May 22, and Eliminator 2 on May 23.
The PSL 10 grand finale is slated for May 25 at the same venue.
Currently, Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen Afridi, are positioned fourth in the points table, having secured four wins and four losses from nine matches. One game was abandoned due to rain, giving them a total of nine points.
