PSL 10: Multan Sultans Matches Likely to Be Rescheduled

The schedule for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 is expected to be modified following a request made by the tournament’s broadcast partners. This adjustment will impact two matches initially planned in Multan.

The game featuring Multan Sultans versus Karachi Kings, initially slated for May 1, will now take place on May 6 at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Likewise, the clash between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators, originally scheduled for May 10, has been shifted to May 11. Both contests will be held as night games with floodlights.

Sources indicate these alterations were implemented at the behest of the broadcasting team because of logistical difficulties. PSL management accommodated by revising the schedule.

A contributing factor to the rescheduling could be the dismissal of 23 individuals from the PSL broadcast crew, potentially linked to escalating diplomatic tensions between Pakistan and India.

While relocating the matches from Multan to Lahore was considered, the venue will remain unchanged; only the dates and timings have been modified.

Multan Cricket Stadium will proceed with hosting the games as initially intended.

Regarding the ongoing tournament standings, Islamabad United, a three-time PSL champion, leads the points table, securing 10 points from five victories.

Lahore Qalandars, a two-time champion, holds the second position with 6 points, stemming from three wins and three losses across six matches. Karachi Kings is third, matching Lahore Qalandars in wins and defeats, but with a net run rate of -0.217.

Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators occupy the fourth and fifth positions, each achieving two wins and accumulating 4 points. Multan Sultans sits at the bottom, with one win and five losses from six matches, tallying 2 points.
