LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s Domestic Cricket Revamping Committee gathered for a crucial session to deliberate on potential adjustments to the domestic cricket framework prior to the approaching season, sources have indicated.

During the assembly, the committee undertook thorough discussions regarding diverse suggestions pertaining to the configuration of domestic tournaments. An official declaration concerning the amended domestic cricket arrangement is anticipated shortly.

According to insiders, the qualifying standards for an additional pair of teams – beyond the leading six competing in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy – have been determined.

A proposal suggests that the remaining dozen regional teams vie for contention in the Hanif Mohammad Trophy. The top two teams emerging from this competition will secure their positions in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

Prior to the revamping committee’s assembly, a performance evaluation was conducted to scrutinize the domestic coaching personnel.

The performance of coaches throughout the domestic season underwent extensive assessment, and modifications to the coaching composition are probable contingent upon this assessment.
