KARACHI: In a remarkable achievement for Pakistan, Bano Kousar triumphed over India’s Richa Sharma to win the gold medal in the women’s 48-kilogram contact ju-jitsu division at the Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship on Sunday.

Kousar’s victory occurred on Day 3 of the tournament held in Amman, underscoring Pakistan’s impressive presence, which also featured two bronze medals won earlier in the week.
