Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Set to Tour Ireland for T20I Series in August
The national women’s cricket team is gearing up for a busy international schedule with intense training sessions currently in progress at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
The ongoing training camp is focused on enhancing the players’ skills and improving their fitness levels in preparation for the important season ahead.
Upcoming T20I Series Against Ireland
The Pakistan women’s cricket team’s next challenge is a three-match T20 International series against Ireland, scheduled to be held at the Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin on August 7, 10, and 11.
Following the Ireland series, the team will participate in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup the following month, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
Pakistan will begin their World Cup campaign against Bangladesh on October 2, followed by a match against India on October 5. Their final group-stage match will be against Sri Lanka on October 24.
The national women’s cricket team will play all of their World Cup matches in Colombo, in accordance with the ‘fusion formula’ established before the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. This formula stipulates that the two rival teams will play their matches at a neutral venue for the next three years during ICC events.
The first semi-final of the eight-team tournament will take place in either Guwahati or Colombo on October 29, with the second semi-final in Bengaluru on October 30.
The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 final is scheduled for November 2 in Bengaluru. However, should Pakistan qualify, the final will be moved to Colombo.
