24 Women Cricketers Participate in Karachi Camp Ahead of Ireland Tour
KARACHI: In preparation for their upcoming tour of Ireland, the Pakistan women’s cricket team continued their participation in a Skills and Fitness camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi on Thursday. The 27-day camp focused on batting, bowling, and fielding drills.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Mohammad Wasim, the squad dedicated their efforts to refining both batting and bowling capabilities. Specialist coaches offered personalized guidance and conducted practical exercises to improve techniques.
In addition to on-field training, the players attended detailed fitness briefings aimed at ensuring they maintain optimal physical fitness throughout the tour. The training camp is scheduled to continue until August 2.
The Pakistan Women’s team is set to commence their Ireland tour with the first T20I match on August 7, followed by additional matches on August 10 and August 11.
This series signifies Pakistan’s inaugural bilateral women’s white-ball tour to Ireland and is viewed as a crucial chance to gain valuable experience in European playing conditions before the upcoming ICC events.
As per the tour itinerary, the national women’s team will depart for Ireland on August 3. All three T20 International matches between Pakistan and Ireland are slated to take place in Dublin.
The series will begin on August 7, with subsequent matches scheduled for August 10 and 11. The Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Ireland will host all three T20 international games.
