ECB Unveils Comprehensive 2026 Home Schedule Featuring Five International Series
LONDON: In the summer of 2026, England is slated to host Pakistan for a three-match Test series as part of an action-packed international season. The schedule includes both the England Men’s and Women’s teams competing across all formats.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) revealed the complete home schedule on Thursday, highlighting visits from five international squads.
Ben Stokes’ England Men’s Test team is scheduled to play New Zealand and Pakistan in two Test series, while the limited-overs team, potentially under the leadership of Harry Brook, will square off against India and Sri Lanka in One-Day Internationals and T20 Internationals.
Pakistan’s Test tour is scheduled to commence on August 19 at Headingley, Leeds, followed by matches at Lord’s on August 27 and Edgbaston, Birmingham on September 9.
Meanwhile, England Women have a busy home schedule, including bilateral series against New Zealand, India, and Ireland.
The summer will be highlighted by the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which England will stage from June 12 to July 15, marking the first time the tournament has been held on English grounds since 2009.
Adding to the summer’s importance, Lord’s will host an England Women’s Test match for the first time, with the match against India scheduled for July 10.
ECB Chief Executive Officer Richard Gould commented on the announcement of England’s 2026 home international schedule, which includes a three-Test series against Pakistan and the hosting of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. He voiced his enthusiasm for the events.
“The highlight of the summer will undoubtedly be the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, hosted here in England for the first time since 2009. It’s a huge moment for the women’s game, for Nat Sciver-Brunt and her team, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation of players and fans,” Gould stated.
“Just after that, we’re thrilled that Lord’s will also host an England Women’s Test match for the first time, marking a really special period of time for the women’s game.”
“I’m sure fans will be excited to watch Ben Stokes’ and Harry Brook’s England teams. It’s terrific to see so many different nations coming over to compete, and we can expect another summer of big crowds and fantastic cricket,” he added.
