Pakistan Climbs to Fifth Position in ICC ODI Rankings
Pakistan has surpassed South Africa in the ICC ODI team standings, even though the Proteas secured a 2-1 series victory against England in their recent three-match series.
A significant 342-run loss in South Africa’s last game of the series proved to be a major setback, enabling Pakistan to move ahead in the rankings.
The Pakistani team now holds the fifth spot with a total of 100 points, while South Africa has been relegated to sixth place with 99 points. The Green Shirts are also closely trailing Sri Lanka, who are in fourth place, by just three points.
India continues to lead the ODI rankings, with New Zealand in second place and Australia in third. Afghanistan is positioned seventh, followed by England, while the Green Lions are eighth, West Indies ninth, and Bangladesh tenth.
