Pakistan Football Team Gears Up for Myanmar Match, Departs June 7
The Pakistan men’s football team commenced preparations on Tuesday for their AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers match against Myanmar, which is slated for June 10.
The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced that the national players will continue training under head coach Stephen Constantine until their departure for Myanmar on June 7.
The team, positioned in Group E with Myanmar, Afghanistan, and Syria, will participate in their second AFC Asian Qualifier match, after experiencing a 2-0 defeat against Syria in March.
Last week, the PFF revealed a 27-member provisional squad for the upcoming match. The squad includes Denmark-based forward Ali Hayder Shah and Scotland-based winger Ryan Mohammad. Noteworthy absences from the squad are Mohammad Saddam, Imran Kayani, Easah Suliman, and Otis Khan.
Defender Mohibullah has been recalled to the national team.
The provisional squad consists of three goalkeepers: Yusuf Butt, Saqib Hanif, and Hasan Ali.
Defenders:
The defensive lineup includes Mamoon Moosa, Mohammad Fazal, Waqar Ahsan, Abdul Rehman, and Umar Hayat, along with Abdullah Iqbal, Haseeb Ahmed Khan, and Mohibullah.
Midfielders:
The midfield selections feature Alamgir Ghazi, Harun Hamid, Ali Uzair, and Yasir Arfat, alongside Moin Ahmed, Umar Ali, Abdul Samad, Rahis Nabi, and Zaid Shah.
Forwards:
The forward line comprises Fareedullah, Adeel Younas, McKeal Abdullah, Mohammad Waheed, Shayak Dost, Ali Hayder, and Mohammad Ryan.
