Imad Wasim Joins Pakistan Champions for WCL 2025

Pakistan Champions revealed the addition of all-rounder Imad Wasim to their team for the second edition of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025. The tournament is scheduled to be held in Birmingham later in July.

The announcement was made via the franchise’s official social media channels, confirming the 36-year-old’s inclusion in the squad.

“A significant addition to the squad. We are excited to welcome Imad Wasim to Pakistan Champions, a determined all-rounder with great skills,” the post stated.

Imad Wasim brings vast experience to the Pakistan Champions, having participated in 394 T20 matches. He has also represented the national side 75 times in the T20 format.

Throughout his T20 career, he has amassed 4148 runs, including 12 half-centuries, and has taken 365 wickets at an impressive average of 24.34.

The all-rounder is currently playing for Somerset in England’s T20 Blast. The league stage concludes on July 18, which might affect Imad’s availability for Pakistan Champions’ opening game against England, scheduled for the same day.

Earlier in the week, Pakistan Champions appointed Mohammad Hafeez, another former all-rounder, as their captain for this edition. The tournament will feature retired cricket legends from six nations: Pakistan, India, Australia, South Africa, England, and the West Indies.

In the inaugural edition, Pakistan had a remarkable run, ultimately finishing as runners-up.

During the final match, Pakistan set a target of 157 runs. However, India successfully chased down the score in 19.1 overs, securing a five-wicket victory and the championship.
