Jabeur Advances to Berlin Open Quarter-Finals

Ons Jabeur of Tunisia showcased her prowess by securing a spot in the Berlin Tennis Open quarter-finals. She achieved this with a decisive 6-1, 6-3 victory over Jasmine Paolini at the Steffi Graf Stadion on Wednesday.

Jabeur exhibited excellent form, dominating against Paolini, who struggled to counter the Tunisian’s aggressive play.

In the opening set, Jabeur overwhelmed Paolini with a convincing 6-1 win. Paolini faced considerable pressure, dealing with 14 break points and only converting two.

During the second set, Jabeur seized a vital break, establishing a 4-1 advantage and eventually clinching the set 6-3 after a match lasting one hour and 20 minutes.

Looking ahead, Jabeur is set to compete against either Marketa Vondrousova, the 2023 Wimbledon champion, or Diana Shnaider in the quarter-finals.
