Independence Sports Festival to showcase 19 Competitions

The Jashn-e-Marka-e-Haq Independence Sports Festival is scheduled to kick off on August 5 at Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana, Karachi.

The sports festival will span until the country’s Independence Day on August 14 and will present 19 different sporting events, including cricket, tennis, football, futsal, and swimming competitions.

The declaration was made by Syed Talha, President of Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana, during a press conference on Saturday. He mentioned that the central objective of this year’s sports festival is to honor ‘Marka-e-Haq,’ emphasizing that the event will extend beyond typical formal proceedings.

“The core theme of the celebrations, commencing on August 5, will be Marka-e-Haq, which signifies national dignity and the victory of truth against injustice,” Talha stated.

“This year’s festivities will not be limited to the usual rituals; they are designed to be exceptional,” he added.

Talha also mentioned that this celebratory initiative aims to promote cultural identity and solidarity throughout the province and urged large public attendance to bolster the cause.
