Kane Lauds Partnership as ‘One of the Best’
MUNICH: Following Bayern Munich’s dominant 4-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in a friendly match at the Allianz Arena on Thursday, Harry Kane commended his former Tottenham Hotspur colleague, Son Heung-min.
Kane, the England team captain, concluded his 19-year tenure with Tottenham to sign with Bayern two summers prior. He initiated the scoring in the 12th minute, adeptly managing a precise long pass from Michael Olise.
Reflecting on the triumph, Kane lauded his team’s dominant performance.
“Today’s showing was quite commanding from beginning to end,” Kane stated.
The Bayern striker also used the opportunity to celebrate Son’s career with Spurs, calling him both an outstanding player and person.
“My sincere congratulations to him on his Tottenham career,” Bayern Munich’s Kane expressed.
“Above all, he is a wonderful person. I’ve come to know him very well as a friend, and I appreciate how humble and kind he is.
He then highlighted their historical connection on the field.
“As a player, we shared one of the best partnerships in Premier League history. We simply had an instinctive connection that we cherished,” he concluded.
Kane, who entered Tottenham’s academy at age 11, tallied 280 goals in over 430 appearances for the club across all competitions. The 32-year-old transitioned to German champions Bayern Munich in August 2023.
