Paolini Reveals Sinner’s Crucial Advice for Game Improvement
Jasmine Paolini discussed the guidance Jannik Sinner provided after identifying an area for improvement in her performance.
Sinner and Paolini have risen to prominence as Italy’s leading tennis figures, currently holding titles in the nation’s two most significant team tennis competitions.
Last month in Shenzen, Paolini was instrumental in the Italian team’s successful defense of their Billie Jean King Cup title. Meanwhile, Sinner has spearheaded Italy to consecutive Davis Cup victories and aims for a third triumph in Bologna next month, playing before his home crowd.
During the Wuhan Open, Paolini mentioned that Sinner detected a weakness in her play and conveyed valuable advice through her former coach, Renzo Furlan, during the Davis Cup finals the previous year.
Paolini stated, “At the Davis Cup finals last year, my ex-coach Renzo (Furlan) was in conversation with Jannik, and I was taken aback when he pointed out a deficiency in my on-court execution.”
“I’m keeping the specifics confidential to prevent my adversaries from gaining an advantage!”
“My coach approached me, relaying, ‘Jannik suggests you implement this.’ Realistically, when Jannik advises something, compliance is almost mandatory. How could one disregard advice from Jannik?”
Paolini also noted Jannik Sinner’s exceptional performance on the court and his status as a role model for aspiring Italian tennis players.
She further commented, “He is accomplishing remarkable feats on the court, and his exemplary behavior both on and off the court is widely admired, as he is genuinely a kind individual.”
“He serves as an excellent role model, which greatly benefits our sport in Italy, contributing to the growth of tennis within the nation because of his influence.”
