Pakistani Women Baseball Players Excel in Japan Training Program
LAHORE: Madiha Rasheed and Saiqa Riaz, two female baseball players from Pakistan, have achieved a milestone by becoming the first from their nation to undergo advanced baseball training in Japan.
This unique opportunity has provided both athletes with exposure to advanced coaching methodologies and cutting-edge equipment, resources previously unavailable to them in their home country.
Madiha and Saiqa expressed their gratitude to the Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) for facilitating this invaluable training experience.
According to the players, the program has enriched their understanding of baseball strategies and inspired them to introduce innovative techniques to their teammates in Pakistan.
Madiha mentioned that her time at a Japanese baseball academy exposed her to machine-assisted practice and sophisticated analytical tools, marking a first in her athletic journey.
Advanced Technology
“We have not had access to such advanced technological resources in Pakistan. The chance to practice using automated equipment and precise tools has significantly improved our confidence and abilities. I hope that, in the future, all female baseball players in Pakistan will have access to similar resources,” she stated.
Saiqa also spoke highly of the training, calling it a transformative event in her career. She emphasized that the sophisticated methods they have learned will contribute to elevating the standards of women’s baseball throughout Pakistan.
Raising Standards
“This experience has been remarkable. The wealth of knowledge we’ve acquired will be shared with our younger players. Our current goal is to support the progress of women’s baseball in Pakistan to help it achieve unprecedented success,” she added.
Their training period in Japan has not only enhanced their personal athletic capabilities but has also encouraged aspiring female athletes to pursue more ambitious objectives.
By participating in international training, they have demonstrated that Pakistani women, given adequate support and access to modern resources, are capable of competing at a global level.
