ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025: India vs. Pakistan Match Details

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is set to kick off on September 30, with India, the host nation, facing Sri Lanka at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

While India is hosting the tournament, the Pakistan women’s team will play all their matches at a neutral venue due to ongoing political tensions. Colombo, Sri Lanka, has been chosen as the neutral ground for Pakistan’s games.

The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for October 5 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, commencing at 3 PM IST.

India has historically dominated Pakistan in women’s ODIs, with a perfect record of 11 wins in as many encounters. This includes their previous World Cup clash in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, where India won convincingly by 107 runs.

The Australian women’s squad will commence their World Cup journey on October 1 against New Zealand.

Pakistan’s group stage schedule includes the following matches:

  • October 2 vs. Bangladesh
  • October 8 vs. Australia
  • October 15 vs. England
  • October 18 vs. New Zealand
  • October 21 vs. South Africa
  • October 24 vs. Sri Lanka

The round-robin stage will run until October 26, and the top four teams will then proceed to the semifinals.

The first semifinal will be held in either Guwahati or Colombo, while the second is slated for Bengaluru on October 29 and 30, respectively.

The final of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup is scheduled for November 2, with Bengaluru or Colombo being considered as the potential host city.
