Tuba and Diana Experience Slight Dip in Bowling Rankings

The International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled its updated women’s T20I player rankings on Tuesday, with Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal, a left-arm spinner, holding firmly to her top position in the bowling standings.

Sadia’s score of 746 points reflects her continued dominance, a result of consistent performances in recent competitions.

Other Pakistani players also saw positive movement. Nashra Sandhu improved her ranking, moving up to seventh place among bowlers. Skipper Fatima Sana and seasoned all-rounder Nida Dar maintained their positions at 38th and 33rd, respectively.

However, Tuba Hassan and Diana Baig each descended one rank, now holding the 53rd and 54th positions.

India’s Deepti Sharma climbed to the second spot in bowling with 738 points, which caused Australia’s Annabel Sutherland to slip to third.

England’s Lauren Bell and Sophie Ecclestone hold the fourth and fifth ranks, accumulating 732 and 720 points, respectively.

In batting, no Pakistani player made it into the top ten. However, Muneeba Ali advanced by one to reach 35th, while Nida Dar stood firm at 39th. Veteran batter Aliya Riaz also went up one place to 51st.

Australia’s Beth Mooney remains the leading T20I batter with 794 points. West Indies’ Hayley Matthews is the next best with 774, closely followed by India’s Smriti Mandhana with 771 points.

Among all-rounders, Nida Dar secured sixth place with 276 points, continuing as Pakistan’s highest-ranked player in this category. Fatima Sana rose one spot to 12th position. No other Pakistani player was listed in the top 40 all-rounders.

West Indies captain Hayley Matthews leads the all-rounders with 505 points, followed by New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr with 434 and India’s Deepti Sharma with 394 points.
