Hasnain Akhtar Maintains Unblemished Record at IBSF U17 World Snooker Championship

MANAMA: Promising Pakistani snooker player Hasnain Akhtar concluded the group stage of the IBSF World U17 Snooker Championship without a loss, securing his place in the knockout rounds.

In his third group match held on Wednesday against Witold Bystrzycki of Poland at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain, the 16-year-old emerged victorious with a 3-0 score, continuing his flawless performance by not conceding a single frame.

Hasnain established control early in the match, decisively winning the first frame with a score of 79-1, limiting Bystrzycki to potting only one red ball.

The subsequent frame mirrored the first, with Hasnain dominating and ultimately securing it with an 81-17 score, bringing him closer to victory.

The third frame of the one-sided contest was the most competitive, with Hasnain Akhtar eventually winning by a score of 59-53.

This victory marked his third in the IBSF World U17 Snooker Championship, following similar 3-0 wins against Abdulla Al Musleh of Qatar and Mohammad Alrumaithi of the UAE.

In his opening match against Al Musleh on Tuesday, Hasnain Akhtar showcased his dominance with a 3-0 victory, achieving frame scores of 72-2, 65-9, and 81-14.

Later that day, the 16-year-old also defeated Alrumaithi with a 3-0 score.

Hasnain began the match impressively, achieving a 61-point break to win the first frame 98-5.

He maintained his dominance in the next frame, winning it 74-6 with a 65-point break, moving him closer to clinching the match.

The third frame followed a similar pattern, with Hasnain Akhtar recording another break of over 50 points to secure a perfect 3-0 victory against Alrumaithi.
