Hasan Lauds Babar Azam as a Generational Talent
Pakistani speedster Hasan Ali has revealed the story behind his famous remark, “King kar lay ga,” which has become very popular with fans and the media.
In a recent discussion with a local sports outlet, Hasan discussed the sentiments associated with the phrase and greatly admired star batsman Babar Azam for his consistency, leadership qualities, and elegance on the field.
“The phrase ‘King kar lay ga’ (The King will do it) wasn’t merely spoken—it came genuinely from my soul,” Hasan stated.
He further applauded Babar Azam’s ascent and his reputation as one of the best batsmen of this era.
“Babar has demonstrated through his actions and character that he is the premier batter of today. We have all given him the title of ‘King.’ Even though he didn’t secure the trophy, he remains one of Pakistan’s most celebrated captains,” Hasan added.
Expanding on his appreciation for the 30-year-old, the fast bowler considered the emotional weight behind his well-known phrase and the widespread acknowledgment of Babar’s skill throughout the cricket community.
“That statement originated from the heart, not just the tongue. Even icons such as Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, and Joe Root commend his batting abilities. If fans were to compare Babar’s cover drive to Kohli’s, many would favor Babar,” he remarked.
Reflecting on his cricketing career and camaraderie with Pakistan’s former captain, the 31-year-old conveyed his respect for the star batsman’s development and commitment over the years.
“Babar and I started our careers around the same period. I’ve witnessed his evolution, his ability to score runs, and his dedication. He is truly the king of Pakistan cricket,” he concluded.
