Gibbs-White Extends Stay with Forest, Declares ‘It Feels Like Home’

Morgan Gibbs-White, the dynamic midfielder for Nottingham Forest, has cemented his future with the club by signing a new, long-term contract. This agreement dispels recent rumors linking him to Tottenham Hotspur.

Earlier reports had suggested that Tottenham was considering triggering a release clause in Gibbs-White’s prior contract. However, Nottingham Forest officially announced the extension on Saturday, confirming the 24-year-old’s commitment to the City Ground.

Gibbs-White initially joined Forest from Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2022 for a fee that could reach £42.5 million. With two years remaining on his original contract, this new deal is being celebrated by the club as a “record agreement.”

Since his arrival, Gibbs-White has emerged as a pivotal player in Forest’s progress. He has recorded 18 goals and 28 assists in 118 appearances for the team, earning the respect of supporters and teammates.

In a statement, Nottingham Forest highlighted Gibbs-White’s significance: “A central figure in Forest’s Premier League journey and a fan favorite, Gibbs-White has affirmed his long-term commitment by agreeing to the new terms.”

His contributions were vital in Forest’s successful campaign last season, which saw them finish seventh in the Premier League and secure a spot in the UEFA Conference League playoff round.

Following the contract signing, Gibbs-White expressed his contentment, stating that he felt at home from the moment he joined the club. “I’ve felt at home at Forest from the moment I arrived. The support from the fans, my team-mates, and everyone around the club has been unbelievable,” Gibbs-White remarked.

Forest supporters will be delighted that their key midfielder has committed his future to the club as they prepare for another season both in domestic and European competitions.
