PCB Issues NOCs to 13 Cricketers for Overseas Leagues
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to thirteen national cricketers, allowing them to participate in various international franchise leagues. Among the recipients are prominent senior players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Notably absent from Pakistan’s T20I squad against Bangladesh, Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen have registered for the Big Bash League (BBL) draft, which is slated for June 19. Consequently, the PCB has authorized their participation in overseas leagues by issuing NOCs valid from December 14 to 28.
Former Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir, currently playing for Essex in the T20 Blast, has been given an NOC that extends until July 18.
Haris Rauf, a key pacer for Pakistan, has received clearance to take part in Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025, which is scheduled to begin this Friday.
Shan Masood, the current Pakistan Test captain, has been permitted to represent Leicestershire in the County Championship, with his NOC valid until September 1.
In addition to Masood, Pakistani pacers Mohammad Abbas, Hasan Ali, and Khurram Shahzad are also set to participate in the County Championship. Abbas’s NOC is effective until July 2, while Hasan Ali and Khurram Shahzad are cleared to play until September 30 and September 27, respectively.
All-rounder Mohammad Nawaz has secured an NOC for participation in both the Guyana Super League and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Mohammad Hassan Khan has also been given the nod from the PCB to participate in these leagues.
