Tanveer’s Critique of Pakistan’s Batting Despite Victory
Former Pakistani fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed has expressed his dissatisfaction with the national cricket team’s batting display during their recent 31-run triumph over the UAE. The match, part of the ongoing tri-nation T20I series, took place at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Tanveer took to social media platform X to share his views, lauding spinner Abrar Ahmed for his pivotal role in securing the win, while also drawing attention to the team’s batting deficiencies.
He stated, “Pakistan’s victory in the UAE was due to Abrar Ahmed’s efforts; otherwise, the batting performance was evident for all to see.”
Fakhar Zaman’s impressive unbeaten 77, along with Abrar Ahmed’s remarkable bowling performance, which marked a career-best, propelled Pakistan to their third victory in the series, guaranteeing their place in the final.
