Dodgers Secure Victory Over Giants with Pages’ Homer

LOS ANGELES: In a Major League Baseball (MLB) game held at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, Andy Pages propelled the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 5-4 triumph over the San Francisco Giants with a crucial three-run home run.

The Dodgers were down by a single run before their three-run surge in the fifth inning. Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts initiated the inning with consecutive singles against Joey Lucchesi. A ground out by Freddie Freeman advanced them to second and third base.

San Francisco then brought in Ryan Walker, a former closer, who struck out Teoscar Hernandez for the inning’s second out. However, Pages then drove a slider into left-center field, putting the Dodgers ahead 5-3.

Lucchesi (0-1) was charged with the loss for the Giants.

Ohtani initiated the scoring for the Dodgers in the first inning with a single up the middle. Following a single to second by Freeman with one out and a walk by Hernandez which loaded the bases. Pages then hit a sacrifice fly, allowing Ohtani to score from third, giving them a 1-0 advantage.

Tommy Edman extended the lead to 2-0 with a home run in the second inning with two outs.

The Giants responded in the fourth inning. Mike Yastrzemski singled to right field, and Christian Koss followed with a single up the middle, allowing Yastrzemski to score, narrowing the Dodgers’ lead to 2-1.

Jung Hoo Lee then delivered a critical triple down the right field line, scoring Porter and Koss and putting the Giants ahead 3-2.

Dustin May (4-4) pitched six innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits, issuing four walks, and recording three strikeouts.

Tanner Scott sealed the victory by striking out all three batters in the ninth inning, earning his 13th save.
