Oliver Predicts Dubois Victory in Potential Usyk Rematch

Spencer Oliver, a former English boxer, anticipates Daniel Dubois will win a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, scheduled for July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London, according to international reports on Tuesday.

Dubois initially faced Usyk in August 2023. Usyk was declared the victor in Poland via a ninth-round knockout. During the match, he floored Dubois twice. However, the fight stirred controversy when a punch that dropped Usyk was deemed a low blow by officials.

Oliver, a former European champion, is supporting Dubois to win against Usyk, noting significant improvements in the British boxer’s performance since their initial contest.

“Daniel Dubois beats Oleksandr Usyk,” Oliver stated.

“I know Daniel Dubois, I have seen him work and know what they are working on tactically. They seemed quite far apart in 2023, Usyk was leagues apart from Dubois then.

“But he [Usyk] has not got much better since fighting Dubois, there is a lot of miles on the clock since then.”

Following his loss to Usyk, Dubois has demonstrated resilience with victories over Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Anthony Joshua.

The boxing expert also mentioned that Usyk might have lost some sharpness after his two encounters with Tyson Fury. Conversely, Dubois has shown remarkable physical and mental development since his first fight with Usyk.

“There is no sign of deterioration, but Dubois is a different animal and a different character since that first fight,” Oliver further added.

“The two fights with Fury have put miles on the clock with Usyk, but Dubois has improved dramatically physically and mentally since then.

“This is a completely different fight since the first one; I’m tipping Dubois.”
