Corbin Bosch Joins Elite South African All-Rounder List
BULAWAYO: Corbin Bosch, the rising all-rounder, etched his name in South African cricket history on Tuesday by achieving the rare feat of scoring a century and claiming a five-wicket haul in the same Test match.
Bosch, who debuted against Pakistan last year, showcased an exceptional all-round display in his second Test. His century in the first innings set the stage, followed by a five-wicket haul that propelled South Africa to a decisive 348-run victory against Zimbabwe.
At 30 years old, Bosch becomes only the third South African cricketer to accomplish this milestone. The legendary Jacques Kallis is the only other player to have achieved this in the past 115 years.
Kallis remarkably reached this landmark twice, once in 1999 and again in 2002, against the West Indies and Bangladesh, respectively. Jimmy Sinclair was the first South African to achieve this.
