Hall Discusses Uncertainty with Jets Before Coach Glenn’s Reassurance

New York Jets’ Breece Hall addressed speculation regarding potential trade scenarios ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, clarifying that he was not replaced.

The Jets officially confirmed on their website that Hall will remain an integral part of the team.

Hall acknowledged awareness of the trade rumors circulating prior to the NFL Draft.

He further mentioned that his future with the Jets felt uncertain until a conversation with Coach Aaron Glenn, who reassured him of the team’s commitment to retaining him.

“I was observing the situation just as everyone else was,” Hall commented.

“But as I’ve said, if there’s a perception that you’re underperforming, replacement becomes a possibility. That didn’t come to pass. I’m still here.”

“That held significant weight.”

“Initially, I adopted a wait-and-see approach. Then, Coach Glenn contacted me, questioning whether I believed he wanted to trade me. I admitted I wasn’t sure.”

Hall continued, stating that the coach clarified their intention to keep him on the team, leading to a positive discussion.

“He affirmed that he didn’t want to trade me, emphasizing his desire for me to remain with the team as their running back. That was incredibly reassuring. The subsequent in-depth conversation allowed me to gain insight.

“Getting to know him better has been great, along with observing how he conducts practices, his emphasis on competitiveness, and his approach to letting us play freely. It’s been enjoyable.”
