Yankees Dominate Royals in MLB Showdown

KANSAS CITY: In a Major League Baseball (MLB) game on Tuesday, Austin Wells propelled the New York Yankees to a 10-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium with a three-run homer and five RBIs.

New York’s pitcher Max Fried (9-1) recovered, pitching seven innings and permitting two runs on six hits. He recorded four strikeouts and lowered his ERA to 1.84.

Wells homered in the fourth against Noah Cameron with two outs and added a two-run double in the sixth inning. His five RBIs tied his personal best.

The Yankees rebounded after losing two consecutive games to the Boston Red Sox, while the Royals suffered their third straight defeat.

Jonathan India hit a home run for Kansas City, who have averaged 3.2 runs in their last 27 games.

Aaron Judge launched a 469-foot home run, which landed on the roof of the Royals Hall of Fame in left field, making it the third-longest in MLB this season.

Kansas City narrowed the gap to one in the second when Vinnie Pasquantino singled and scored on Jac Caglianone’s groundout.

Cameron retired eight consecutive batters, and Jasson Dominguez contributed three hits.

DJ LeMahieu singled, and Wells followed with a home run, giving the Yankees a 5-1 lead.

In the sixth inning, Jazz Chisholm Jr. doubled after Cameron was replaced. Taylor Clarke then walked LeMahieu and conceded a two-run double to Wells.

Following Paul Goldschmidt’s single, Grisham, Judge, and Cody Bellinger each recorded an RBI single.

India homered off Fried to lead off the bottom of the sixth.
