ADELAIDE: Pakistani squash player Ashab Irfan has earned a spot in the final match of the South Australian Open Squash Championship. He secured his place after a decisive 3-0 victory against fellow Pakistani competitor Hamza Khan during the semi-final round.
Semifinal Victory
In the semi-final match, top-seeded Ashab showcased exceptional skill, winning with game scores of 11-3, 11-8, and 11-7. He maintained composure throughout the match.
Earlier Rounds
Prior to the semi-final, Ashab defeated Leo Chung of Hong Kong in straight sets with scores of 11-7, 11-5, 11-5.
Hamza Khan, seeded sixth, displayed great determination in the second round against Shady Sherbiny of Egypt.
After losing the initial game 5-11, Hamza adjusted his strategy and won the subsequent three games 11-6, 11-6, 11-4, earning his place in the quarter-finals.
Despite his efforts, Hamza’s journey ended in the semi-finals against Ashab Irfan.
