Arslan Ash Victorious in Tekken 8 Grand Final, Defeating Atif Butt

Pakistan’s celebrated E-sports athlete, Arslan Ash, achieved another milestone by securing his sixth Evolution Championship Series (EVO) title at EVO 2025 in Las Vegas.

Arslan Siddique, recognized as Arslan Ash, representing Twisted Minds, triumphed over fellow Pakistani competitor Atif Butt in the Tekken 8 Grand Final.

Hailing from Lahore, Ash’s journey began at the age of eight in local gaming arcades, where he honed his skills and went on to win several international Tekken tournaments.

In a conversation with reporters, Ash commented on competing against Atif Butt, stating, “We both dedicate ourselves to intense practice, which leads us to these matchups.”

Ash further elaborated, “Ideally, I prefer not to compete against him due to his exceptional strength. We consistently practice together and are aware of each other’s vulnerabilities. There are no secrets between us. It’s a very close contest.”
He emphasized, “He truly ranks among the world’s elite players.”

Despite having only one remaining opportunity to secure his sixth Evo title, Ash chose to continue with Anna in the subsequent match.

When questioned about his decision regarding character selection, Ash explained: “This particular match presented unique circumstances. Typically, I obscure my gameplay by shielding my stick, but I lacked the means to do so this time. I was constantly aware of him observing my actions. I selected Anna as a strategic response to his gameplay.”

“However, he gained the upper hand while using her. After Anna proved ineffective, I resorted to Nina as my final option and committed to giving my best effort. I am more adept at navigating challenging situations with Nina.”
