Arfan Secures Consecutive Wins Against Indian Competitors
KARACHI: In an impressive showing at the Asian Heyball Championship, Pakistani player Arfan Dad has progressed to the semifinals after achieving successive victories against two Indian players on the same day.
The UK-based athlete started by dominating India’s Shahbaaz Adil Khan with a 7-3 score in the Round of 16. He then narrowly defeated Shivam Arora 7-6 in a gripping quarterfinal match.
Arfan is now set to compete against another Indian player, Sundeep Gulati, in the semifinal round scheduled for later today.
Heyball, often referred to as the Chinese version of 8-ball pool, primarily differs in the specifications of the table and the design of the pockets.
Pakistan’s representation in the championship includes Arfan Dad and Nadeem Gull. However, Gull’s journey concluded in the Round of 32.
