Aamir Jamal Reacts to Exclusion from PCB Central Contract

Following his omission from the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) central contracts for the 2025-26 season, Pakistan’s Test all-rounder Aamir Jamal has responded with an intriguing message on social media.

Jamal shared a quoted image on his Instagram story, accompanied by the caption: “Let them understand you, let them talk, Allah knows and when He will speak for you, your silence will become your shield.”

The PCB revealed the men’s central contracts for the approaching season on Tuesday, announcing the elimination of Category A and the exclusion of several prominent players.

Alongside the 29-year-old, others left off the list include Haseebullah, Kamran Ghulam, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Usman Khan.

For the 2025-26 season, the PCB has chosen to distribute 30 players among Categories B, C, and D—with 10 players in each—a change from the previous arrangement.

The pool has expanded from 27 to 30 players compared to last year, with 12 fresh faces securing contracts. These include Ahmed Daniyal, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Mirza, and Sufyan Moqim.

Moreover, several players have been promoted due to their consistent performances during the last season. Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, and Shadab Khan have all advanced from Category C to Category B.

In addition, nine players have retained their positions: Abdullah Shafique, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, and Saud Shakeel remain in Category C; Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, and Mohammad Wasim Jnr stay in Category D; and Shaheen Shah Afridi continues in Category B.

The newly declared contracts will be valid from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
