Prince William and Kate Middleton to Miss Easter Gathering
Prince William has communicated to King Charles that neither he nor his wife, Kate Middleton, will be present for the traditional Easter celebration at Windsor Castle this Sunday.
Their choice to forgo the event has elicited responses from King Charles’s supporters, with some individuals expressing disapproval of the couple’s absence from the royal family gathering.
Critics have pointed to the couple’s recent individual excursions, during which they were away from the family, questioning why William and Kate consistently opt out of occasions that offer an opportunity to display a unified front, citing family time as the reason.
The announcement follows Kensington Palace’s release of a special video featuring Kate Middleton. The footage, showcasing Kate’s passion for the outdoors, was recorded last month.
A French media outlet reported that the Princess of Wales was seen on Tuesday traversing Kensington Gardens to board a helicopter.
The media outlet also shared an undated video of Princess Catherine on its social media accounts.
According to news reports, the Prince and Princess of Wales will instead spend the holiday weekend with their children at their residence in Norfolk.
As the head of the Church of England, the King will lead the royal family in attending church services at Windsor Castle on Sunday, the report stated.
Kate Middleton is gradually resuming her royal commitments following the completion of her chemotherapy treatments.
The Princess of Wales, who received a cancer diagnosis last year, recently announced that she is in remission.
