Pakistan Champions Unveils New Logo for WCL Season 2
Pakistan Champions, who finished as runners-up in the inaugural World Championship of Legends (WCL), have revealed their updated logo ahead of the second season, scheduled to be held in Birmingham later in July.
The franchise unveiled their new emblem on X, stating: “The wait is over, the identity is here. This is our roar. This is Pakistan Champions. Join us, and stand with us because we are #TheRoarOfTheNation.”
The WCL T20 League is making its return for a second season in the July-August period, building on the success of its first year.
The competition showcases legendary cricketers from six nations: India, Australia, England, Pakistan, South Africa, and the West Indies.
Pakistan Champions enjoyed a successful first season, securing impressive victories during the group stage matches.
First Season Highlights
- They commenced their campaign with a victory over Australia.
- Followed by a dominant win against the West Indies.
- A memorable, high-scoring match against India saw them post a total of 243/4, subsequently restricting India to 175/9.
Under the leadership of former Pakistan captain Younis Khan, the team maintained their strong performance with a win against England, with their only group-stage loss coming against South Africa.
Pakistan advanced to the semi-finals, where they once again defeated the West Indies, securing a 20-run victory to secure their place in the final against India.
During the final, Pakistan set a target of 157, which India successfully chased down in 19.1 overs, winning the title by five wickets.
The second season of the WCL will commence on July 18, with Pakistan Champions facing England Champions at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.
The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for July 20 at the same venue.
