Arslan Ash Withdraws from Evo Japan and Riyadh Clash 2025 Due to Visa Issues

Arslan Ash, a five-time EVO champion and a prominent figure in Tekken esports, has announced his inability to participate in Evo Japan and Riyadh Clash 2025 because of persistent visa challenges.

The Pakistani esports star, known for representing his nation on the global stage, communicated this disappointing news on X.

“I will be unable to attend Riyadh Clash and Evo JP this year. Despite my best efforts, I am facing visa complications once more,” Ash stated.

He added, “It’s alright; I’ve become accustomed to passport limitations. Perhaps someday, the situation will improve.”

His absence will be keenly felt at both Evo Japan and the Gamers8 contests in Riyadh, which are vital components of the Tekken World Tour 2025 schedule.

With Arslan out of the running, this creates opportunities for emerging players to make an impact on the international scene. Despite this setback, he remains dedicated to improving his gameplay.

Ash has verified his presence at the upcoming LevelUp Expo and has hinted at seeking additional local opportunities this season, while also considering alternative international competitions.

In a recent Tekken competition, where Pakistani competitors excelled against leading Japanese players, Arslan once again emphasized the continuous visa obstacles encountered by Pakistani players, even as they consistently deliver top-tier performances.

He expressed his aspirations, stating, “While cricket remains a beloved national pastime, I hope for a future where other sports and sectors, particularly esports, receive similar recognition and backing.”

Meanwhile, there is growing anticipation for the Esports World Cup 2025, which is scheduled to occur in Saudi Arabia from July 7 to August 4.

This major event will include 25 games, feature over 2,000 competitors, and involve more than 200 clubs, all vying for an unprecedented $70 million prize pool.
