Tamannaah Bhatia Denies Marriage Rumors with Abdul Razzaq
KARACHI: Bollywood star Tamannaah Bhatia has spoken out about persistent rumors linking her romantically to former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq, dismissing them as untrue and awkward.
In a recent interview, Bhatia addressed how these unsubstantiated stories frequently circulate on social media, leading to both amusement and embarrassment.
She mentioned that a photo of her with Abdul Razzaq at a jewelry store opening in 2020 ignited speculation regarding their supposed relationship.
“It’s all fun and games until it’s Abdul Razzaq! The internet can be a funny place. Apparently, I was briefly married to Abdul Razzaq. Sorry, sir. You have a family. I am not familiar with your personal life, but this is quite humiliating,” she stated.
This isn’t the first instance of Bhatia being associated with cricketers. A photograph from 2010, showing her with Virat Kohli during a commercial shoot, also sparked false rumors.
“I only encountered him for a single day during the commercial shoot. We have never spoken or met subsequently,” Bhatia clarified.
Meanwhile, Abdul Razzaq, whose last international appearance for Pakistan was in 2013, was recently appointed by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to spearhead the Pakistan Strike Force training camp earlier in the year.
The purpose of this initiative is to improve the power-hitting and contemporary batting techniques of both domestic and international players.
The Strike Force program is intended to run continuously throughout the year, with both established and emerging players receiving periodic invitations to participate.
Razzaq receives assistance from former Test cricketer Humayun Farhat and former first-class player Kamran Sajid.
