Afghan Taliban Commander Warns Against Attacks on Pakistan

RAWALPINDI: In a significant development, Saeedullah Saeed, a commander within the Afghan Taliban, has cautioned members of Fitna al-Khwarij against engaging in combat with Pakistani forces and conducting assaults under the guise of Jihad.

Speaking at a graduation ceremony for law enforcement officials, the Afghan Taliban commander stated that, in accordance with their leader’s instructions, fighting against any nation, especially Pakistan, is illegitimate.

“Those who engage in hostilities against foreign countries by joining various factions cannot be considered true Mujahideen,” the Afghan Taliban leader asserted.

Saeed also clarified that the authority to declare or authorize Jihad rests solely with the leader of the state. “The decision to wage Jihad is not at the discretion of any individual or group,” he emphasized.

He further stated unequivocally that anyone who disobeys the directives of the state leadership and travels to Pakistan to fight is acting in defiance. “If someone fights out of ego or affiliation with a particular group, it will be deemed ‘Fasad’ (mischief), not ‘Jihad’,” he explained.

Commander Saeed also affirmed that individuals or groups who perpetrate attacks in the name of ‘Jihad’ are defying Sharia law and the Afghan Emirate.

Defense analysts suggest that the Afghan Taliban commander’s declaration bolsters Pakistan’s stance on internal security. They noted that the alleged ‘Jihad’ of Fitna al-Khwarij, instigated by Indian proxies and the Indian government, constitutes terrorism against Shariat, the state, and overall peace.
