Pakistan’s Foreign Exchange Reserves Increase
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced on Thursday that the nation’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves increased to $16.88 billion during the week ending June 6, 2025.
The country’s total reserves amounted to $16,875.0 million, a rise from $16,708.0 million the previous week. According to a statement from the SBP, the central bank’s reserves grew by $167 million during the week, reaching $11,675.6 million. This growth is due to official inflows.
Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks were reported at $5,199.4 million.
The SBP’s reserves had previously decreased by $7 million on a weekly basis, totaling $11.51 billion as of May 30.
