Karachi: Soha Ali, a talented 17-year-old tennis player representing Pakistan, is making waves at the ITF Junior Tournament in Nigeria with impressive wins in both the girls’ singles and doubles competitions.
Singles Triumph
Following a successful start in the girls’ doubles event, Soha Ali also emerged victorious in her opening singles match at the ITF J30 event held in Abuja. In a thrilling match against Nigeria’s Nenrot Suwa, who entered as a wildcard, Soha demonstrated resilience by recovering from an initial setback. After losing the first set, she dominated the subsequent sets, securing a final score of 5-7, 6-2, 6-3.
Doubles Success
Prior to her singles victory, Soha, partnering with Sidhak Kaur from India, clinched their first doubles match. This achievement propels them into the girls’ doubles semifinals, where they are set to compete for a spot in the final.
