Independence Day Prizes Announced by Sindh Government
The Sindh government has declared that prizes will be awarded for the best-decorated vehicles, businesses, and buildings in celebration of Independence Day, August 14, throughout the province.
Chief Minister’s Address
During a press conference in Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah encouraged broad public involvement in concerts planned for Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur. He emphasized that Karachi would take a leading role in the Independence Day celebrations.

- Public competitions
Additional Arrangements
The Chief Minister mentioned ongoing efforts to organize vintage car and heavy bike rallies, along with women’s fairs and painting competitions.
Instructions to Culture Department
The Culture Department has been instructed to conduct singing competitions. The Chief Minister also noted that the Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Mela, scheduled from August 9-11, will reflect the spirit of Independence Day.
Traffic Management
He instructed the IGP and DIG Traffic to finalize traffic management plans, urging citizens to cooperate during rallies, even if inconvenienced, “for the sake of Pakistan.”
Invitations and Education
The chief minister stated that formal invitations would be extended to all political parties for participation in the events, and school schedules would remain unchanged. The Education Department is also organizing independent programs.
Kashmir Solidarity Event
Furthermore, he added that August 5 would be commemorated with a special event protesting the revocation of Kashmir’s special status, and a separate significant event would be held for persons with disabilities.
