Sindh Announces Public Holiday for Labour Day
The Sindh government has declared May 1st (Wednesday) as a public holiday throughout the province to commemorate International Labour Day.
A formal announcement from the Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department stated that all governmental and semi-governmental offices will be closed on this day.
Moreover, all educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, will also be closed in observance of the holiday.
Globally, Labour Day, also known as May Day, is observed annually on May 1st. It serves as a day to show support for workers and acknowledge the rights of the working class.
The aim of this observance is to promote initiatives that protect laborers and industrial workers from exploitation and ensure their job security.
