Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged unity among Islamic countries during meetings with Saudi Arabia’s, Turkiye’s and Egypt’s foreign ministers on Sunday.
The initiative is being seen as a coordinated regional effort to encourage dialogue between the United States and Iran amid rising tensions.
During a meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the prime minister discussed ways to promote peace and stability in the region.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong support for Saudi Arabia and appreciated the Kingdom’s restraint during the current crisis, assuring continued solidarity.
Separate meetings were also held with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, where both sides agreed to maintain close coordination to promote peace and stability in the region.
