Security Forces Eliminate Terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
At least 19 militants affiliated with what are described as “Indian proxies” were killed during three intelligence-led operations conducted by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 9th and 10th, according to a statement released by the military’s media affairs wing on Thursday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) detailed that the operations took place in the districts of Mohmand, North Waziristan, and Bannu, prompted by intelligence regarding the presence of insurgents in these regions.
In the Guluno area of Mohmand, 14 militants were eliminated during an exchange of fire. An additional four were taken down in Datta Khel, North Waziristan. A further militant was killed during an encounter in the Bannu district, the ISPR statement conveyed.
The military sources confirmed that weapons and ammunition were seized from the deceased militants, who were allegedly involved in various terrorist activities within the area.
The ISPR emphasized that ongoing sanitization operations are underway in the surrounding regions to eliminate any remaining militants, reiterating the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to the complete eradication of terrorism from the nation.
