Zahid Mir Reappointed as CEO and MD of Pakistan Refinery Limited
The Board of Directors at Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) has officially reappointed Zahid Mir to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) of the organization.
The publicly listed firm communicated this development to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) through a formal notification on Tuesday.
The announcement stated, “We are pleased to inform you that during its meeting held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the Board of Directors of Pakistan Refinery Limited unanimously resolved to reappoint Zahid Mir as Managing Director and CEO of Pakistan Refinery Limited. His term will span two years, commencing on August 1, 2025, and concluding on July 31, 2027.”
According to details available on PRL’s official website, Zahid Mir has held the dual role of MD and CEO since August 1, 2019.

Zahid Mir, a petroleum engineer with an MBA, brings more than 32 years of diverse technical and management expertise acquired from working with both public and private sector entities within the oil and gas sector. He possesses considerable experience in onshore and offshore operations, having been deeply involved in all phases of upstream operations at a senior level.
Mir also has a proven track record in managing field operations, encompassing production activities, conceptual engineering, and project development and execution. He gained this experience through his affiliations with national and international oil and gas producers, operating in both Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
