Haleon Pakistan Appoints New CEO
Haleon Pakistan Limited, a consumer healthcare company, has announced the appointment of Qawi Naseer as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This decision follows the transfer of the current CEO and Executive Director, Farhan Muhammad Haroon, to Haleon South Africa, where he will serve as General Manager.
The company communicated this development to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) through an official notice.
According to the notice, Farhan Muhammad Haroon, after a distinguished tenure with Haleon Pakistan Limited, will be reassigned to Haleon South Africa as General Manager, effective June 1, 2025.
The Board of Directors has sanctioned this transfer and expressed gratitude to Mr. Haroon for his committed service and leadership, which fostered substantial business expansion. Mr. Haroon will continue in his current role as CEO and Executive Director until May 31, 2025.
The announcement further stated that the Board has resolved to appoint Qawi Naseer, who is scheduled to join the company on April 28, 2025, as Chief Executive Officer (Designate). His formal appointment as CEO and Executive Director of the Board will take effect on June 1, 2025.
The company noted that a subsequent announcement will be released in accordance with PUCARS regulations once Mr. Naseer officially assumes the role of CEO and Executive Director on June 1, 2025.
The notice described Mr. Naseer as a highly capable and accomplished business leader, recognized for his history of spearheading transformative growth and innovation within the consumer goods sector.
Earlier this year, Haleon Pakistan Limited, previously known as GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Pakistan Limited, announced the successful export of Centrum, a widely recognized multivitamin brand, from its manufacturing plant located in Jamshoro to Kenya.
The company stated in a notice to the PSX that they were pleased to announce the successful dispatch of the inaugural consignment of Centrum, produced at their Jamshoro facility, to Kenya.
The company added that this noteworthy achievement signifies the beginning of an exciting venture, further bolstering their export activities in the year 2025. This successful shipment underscores their dedication to supporting Pakistan’s economy by unlocking new avenues for growth in the international market.
According to details available on the company’s website, Haleon operates globally with commercial activities in over 150 countries, supported by a network of 86 manufacturing facilities across 36 countries, and major research and development (R&D) centers in the UK, USA, Spain, Belgium, and China.
