PSX to Observe Holiday on Youm-e-Takbeer

The Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX) will be closed on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

In an official statement, the PSX announced, “All stakeholders are notified that the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, due to the public holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan in observance of Youm-e-Takbeer.”

Pakistan conducted five successful nuclear tests on May 28, 1998, in the Chagai hills of Balochistan. This made Pakistan the seventh nuclear power globally and the first in the Muslim world, strengthening its position in the region and restoring the balance of power.

Youm-e-Takbeer is a significant day in Pakistan’s history, representing the achievement of strong defense capabilities and regional stability through a balance of power.
