Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore to Host PSL 10 Grand Finale on May 25

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the schedule for the remaining matches of the tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Tuesday.

The league will resume on May 17 with a match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Rawalpindi will also host a double-header on Sunday. Quetta Gladiators will face Multan Sultans in the afternoon, followed by Peshawar Zalmi against Lahore Qalandars.

The final game in Rawalpindi will be held on May 19, featuring Islamabad United versus Karachi Kings.

The action will then move to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, which is set to host the Qualifier, Eliminator 1, and Eliminator 2 on May 21, 22, and 23 respectively.

The tournament’s final will also be staged at Gaddafi Stadium on May 25.

Evening matches are scheduled to commence at 7:30 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST), with the sole afternoon fixture beginning at 3:30 PM.

The PCB has indicated that details regarding ticket availability and sales will be announced shortly.

The league was earlier put on hold because of growing tensions between India and Pakistan, coupled with a recent incident near the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Originally, the remaining games were planned to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to security concerns.

However, following directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the PCB chose to postpone the competition entirely, considering the issues with India.

At the time of suspension, 27 games had been concluded, with Quetta Gladiators at the top of the points table. They have already qualified for the playoffs with six victories, two defeats, and one no-result from nine games.

Karachi Kings are second with 10 points, after winning five of their eight matches. Islamabad United, the defending champions, are third, also with 10 points, having won five and lost four of their nine matches.

Lahore Qalandars are fourth with nine points from four wins, four losses, and one no-result, while Peshawar Zalmi are fifth with eight points from four wins in nine games.

Multan Sultans have been knocked out of the playoff race, securing only one win and suffering eight losses in their nine matches.
