PSL 10 Awards: Hasan Nawaz Named Player of the Tournament

LAHORE: Following a captivating final, Quetta Gladiators’ middle-order batsman, Hasan Nawaz, received the Player of the Tournament award at the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 awards ceremony.

Nawaz enjoyed a remarkable season, accumulating 399 runs in 10 innings with an average of 57.00 and a striking rate of 162.19. His total comprised a century and three half-centuries.

In addition to the top honor, the talented batter was also recognized as the Best Batter of the Tournament for his consistently powerful displays.

Islamabad United’s opening batsman, Sahibzada Farhan, secured the Hanif Mohammad Cap for being the competition’s highest run-scorer.

Farhan amassed 449 runs across 12 innings, maintaining an average of 37.41 and a strike rate of 152.20, including a century and three half-centuries.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, the captain of the three-time champions Lahore Qalandars, was presented with the Fazal Mahmood Cap for taking the most wickets in the competition.

The left-arm fast bowler claimed 19 wickets in 12 games at an average of 16.42 and an economy rate of 7.76, with his best figures being 3/3. He was also honored as the Best Bowler of the Tournament.

Quetta Gladiators’ all-rounder, Faheem Ashraf, was given the Best All-Rounder award for his efforts with both the bat and the ball.

Faheem recorded 163 runs at a strike rate of 155.23 and secured 17 wickets in 12 games at an economy of 11.19.

Lahore Qalandars’ rising prospect, Mohammad Naeem, was celebrated as the Emerging Player of the Tournament. The young opener scored 316 runs in 12 innings at an average of 26.16 and a strike rate of 162.69, featuring three half-centuries.

Mohammad Haris, the wicketkeeper-batsman from Peshawar Zalmi, was named Best Wicketkeeper of the Tournament. Haris impressed behind the stumps with 12 dismissals in 10 matches and contributed 247 runs at a strike rate of 148.79.

Zalmi’s Abdul Samad received the Best Fielder of the Tournament award for taking nine catches in only five matches.

Sri Lanka’s Kusal Perera was awarded Player of the Final for his match-winning performance for Lahore Qalandars in the final match.

Peshawar Zalmi was also recognized with the Spirit of Cricket Award for demonstrating exceptional sportsmanship throughout the competition.
