PM Directs Swift Completion of Islamabad IT Park

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed authorities to ensure the timely completion of the IT Park located in Islamabad. During a recent site visit, the Prime Minister urged all involved parties to accelerate the construction process and adhere to the initial project deadlines.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office conveyed his emphasis on ensuring the project’s infrastructure and facilities meet international standards.

“All relevant stakeholders must intensify their efforts to finalize the Technology Park as quickly as possible,” PM Shehbaz stated, highlighting the project’s vital role in bolstering Pakistan’s IT sector, generating employment, and fostering economic advancement.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the park’s design, which includes two basement levels, a ground floor, and nine additional stories. The facility will house offices, an incubation center, a business support hub, research and development labs, a Tier III data center, an auditorium, and parking capacity for 1,200 vehicles.

Officials underscored that the initiative seeks to create job opportunities for young people, elevate Pakistan’s position in the global IT market, drive economic expansion, and narrow the digital divide.
