Pre-Hajj Flight Operations Conclude Successfully

JEDDAH: The 33-day pre-Hajj flight operation concluded successfully on Saturday, marking the arrival of the final Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight, PK-759, from Karachi. The flight carried 307 pilgrims and landed at 6:55 pm (local time).

A representative from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Muhammad Umar Butt, stated that the Government Hajj Scheme facilitated the arrival of 88,260 pilgrims in Saudi Arabia via 342 flights originating from various Pakistani cities.

Furthermore, the representative mentioned that over 27,000 pilgrims journeyed to the holy land utilizing private Hajj arrangements.

During the initial phase of the Hajj flight operations, which concluded on May 27, a total of 39,717 individuals from Pakistan were transported to Madinah via 156 flights.

It was noted that over 115,000 Pakistani pilgrims will participate in the Hajj this year, consisting of 88,260 individuals under the government program and 27,011 through private Hajj Group Organizers (HGOs).

Airlines such as Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Saudi Airlines, SereneAir, Airblue, and AirSial operated flights to transport the pilgrims from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia.

Approximately 470 Nazimeen are being assigned to assist the pilgrims during the Mashair days. Each group of 188–200 pilgrims will have a dedicated Nazim who will provide continuous support throughout the journey, from Mina to Arafat, Muzdalifah, Jamarat, and back to Makkah.
